The ASIS International, Toronto Chapter 193, is accepting proposals for presentations at our next annual Best Practices Seminar on April 20th, 2017. The upcoming seminar will be our 24th annual, attracting security professionals from all over Southern Ontario and Canada. The seminar assists our members in keeping up to date on recent practices and technologies within the security profession. Generally, attendees include:
- Corporate security directors and practitioners
- Site security managers and facility engineers / managers
- Corporate risk managers
- Business continuity managers
- Corporate officers / investigators
- Security/design consultants, architects / engineers
The annual Best Practices Seminar is highly regarded among our members and as such we must thoroughly evaluate prospective speakers. We are looking for cutting-edge presentations that are approximately one hour in length that will attract members to the seminar and provide them with valuable knowledge that they can use to secure their organizations. In order to maintain the integrity of the seminar, it is extremely important that sessions not be sales-oriented. All presentations must be submitted to the Chapter executive committee for approval prior to the seminar. Speakers are welcome to provide sales material and contact information following the seminar for interested members and there is also corporate sponsorship available.
For more information on being a speaker, please contact a member of our Best Practices Committee on our Committees page.
