JOB OPPORTUNITY NOTICE

POSITION: AREA VICE PRESIDENT - GTA

LOCATION: NORTH YORK, ONTARIO

REPORTS TO: PRESIDENT


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Must ensure effective customer service and employee management.
• Must help deliver security solutions to customer problems.
• Direct involvement in the creation of the Company's mission and strategic direction.
• Establishes financial and administrative controls.
• Represents the organization or delegates representatives to act on behalf of the organization in negotiations or other official functions.
• Selects managers and other staff, and creates optimum working conditions.
• Continuously researches and is aware of Industry competition.
• Creates and promotes strong customer relationships.
• Prepares and has approved the job pricing Proforma.
• Assists in preparing tenders.
• Advises support staff on the interpretation of the Collective Agreement.
• Reviews, investigates, and responds to grievances.
• Coordinates financial planning and the budget process.
• Advises support staff on the interpretation of Human Resources policies.
• Conduct Performance Evaluations with subordinate staff.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

• Top level mastery and effectiveness in implementing the Company’s policies & procedures.
• Must understand and be able to implement the Corporate and Legislated Compliance Regulations.
• Must understand and implement Securitas accounting and auditing systems.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external clients.
• Must have assessing, problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills.
• Accurately assess employee strengths and development needs and provide feedback and coaching as deemed appropriate.
• Must be able to organize/prioritize in order to support an effective/efficient operation and accomplishment of stated goals.



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) plus years of direct management experience with full P&L responsibility.
