SimplexGrinnell, a division of Tyco International, is a recognized leader in the manufacture, sales, and service of state-of-the-art monitor and control systems for fire alarm, security, sound, nurse call, integrated systems, portable extinguishers, and sprinklers systems.

We are currently looking a Security Designer to join our Toronto District

Position Summary

Manage & oversee the design of new and existing security systems including preparation of project submittal drawings. Assist Sales with pre-bid designs. Prepare as-built drawings and end-of contract documents. Research and prepare drawings for projects for cost saving and customer satisfaction. Contract scheduling from design stage to completion of installation at set deadlines. Review of security design drawings to allow for greater ease in installation and fabrication

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 - 5 years of security design experience. College Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and AutoCAD 2004. Excellent knowledge of at least two of Software House CCure, Lenel, Genetec, American Dynamics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
