ASIS Toronto

ASIS International administers the industry-recognized CPP, PSP and PCI professional certifications. The ASIS Toronto Chapter is an extremely active chapter in supporting ASIS professional designations through chapter-run study programs. For more information on Toronto Chapter's study programs, please contact our education committee chairperson.

CPP Study Program

The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) has become the one of the most widely recognized professional security designations in the world since its inception in 1977. The CPP is targeted to those in security management roles and covers a variety of topics across several disciplines. The Toronto Chapter has run a CPP Study Group since the late 1990's with tremendous success. The CPP Study Group is run for three hours in the evenings, once a week for 12 weeks, starting in late January each year.

PSP Study Program

The Physical Security Professional (PSP) is targeted to security professionals whose primary responsibility is to conduct threat surveys; design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures, and people; or install, operate, and maintain those systems. The Toronto Chapter has run a PSP Study Group since 2005 with tremendous success. The PSP Study Group is run for three hours in the evenings, once a week for 8 weeks, starting in early October each year.

PCI Study Program

The Professional Certified Investigators (PCI) is targeted to security professionals whose primary responsibility is to conduct investigations, whether private or public. The Toronto Chapter started its PCI course in 2008 as a small collaborative study group. The PCI Study Group is run for three hours in the evenings, once a week for 8 weeks, starting in early October each year.
