ASIS International Professional Certifications
The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) has become the one of the most widely recognized professional security designations in the world since its inception in 1977. The Toronto Chapter has run a CPP Study Group since the late 1990's. The CPP Study Group is run for three hours in the evenings, once a week for 12 weeks.
PSP Study Program
The Physical Security Professional (PSP) is targeted to security professionals whose primary responsibility is to conduct threat surveys; design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures, and people; or install, operate, and maintain those systems. The Toronto Chapter has run a PSP Study Group since 2005. The PSP Study Group is run for three hours in the evenings, once a week for 8 weeks.
PCI Study Program
The Professional Certified Investigators (PCI) is targeted to security professionals whose primary responsibility is to conduct investigations, whether private or public. The Toronto Chapter started its PCI course in 2008 as a small collaborative study group, but has only run it intermittently since, depening on the number of interested students. The PCI Study Group is run for three hours in the evenings, once a week for 8 weeks.
